Executive Director

Jana has been on a mission to serve the children, families, and communities of East Tennessee for nearly 2 decades. An alumna of Tennessee Wesleyan University, she started her career as a classroom teacher and then found a zeal for Extended Learning. Jana came to TEC in 2014 as our Extended Learning Director. After 9 years in this position, she accepted the position of Executive Director in 2023. Jana has a passion for servant leadership. She lives by the motto “If serving is below you, leadership is beyond you.”

Faith and family are the two most important things in her life. Jana and her husband Jake have four children. They are always on the go enjoying the beach, the aquarium, movies, picnics, and extra-curricular activities. In her own time, Jana enjoys singing, gardening, cooking, reading, and binging crime podcasts.
